Laser Tag with Phi Tau
Plain and simple, there could have been no better way for Phi Kappa Tau to launch off its Fall 2006 Rush this past Monday. Kicking off the week with our usual night of laser tag in Beachwood, we soon found that there was in fact nothing usual about this event as potential rushees came strolling in, and kept on coming. By the time we were ready to leave for our event over 25 rushees, consisting of incoming freshman and sophomores, were ready and anxious to trade a volley of lasers and lights with the brothers of Phi Tau! If we were not impressed by the number of rushees that came, then we had no choice but to be impressed by the quality of rushees. While running frantically in the dark, trying to avoid beams of light did not inspire moments of conversation, there was still plenty of time driving over and waiting for the other two teams’ rounds to pass that allowed for us to get to know the guys that came. In addition, most of the rushees enjoyed their time so much at laser tag that they joined us after the event at Mama Santa’s. All in all, this was a fantastic event that gave both the rushees and current brothers to meet a great group of guys, and we certainly look forward to seeing these new faces for the duration of the 2006 Rush.
