Phi Tau Powers Through IM Racquetball
On Saturday October 27, Phi Tau continued its streak of IM racquetball prowess by putting two men in the finals of the fraternity singles group A bracket. Drew Nassal and Davorin (Cro) Skender each battled through three tough rounds to face off in the final match. Drew's outstanding agility and Cro's exceptional racket handling allowed them to climb through the rest of the field and battle in an exciting final match. After two games in the best-out-of-three match, Cro took the victory. In other racquetball action, Matt Collins stepped up to play in the tournament, losing in the second round of the group A bracket to a tough opponent. Dan Shelberg powered through to the second round of the fraternity mullet division, and Ethan Engle and James Slater both fell in the first round to worthy opponents from SigEp. Mike Greese played an outstanding fast-paced first match in the mullet division, holding on to the very end of the third game where he fell to his agile opponent 13-15.
